Theatre of Dare

Founded in 1991, the Theatre of Dare is a non-profit, volunteer group of your friends, family, neighbors & co-workers. All proceeds from our shows go toward the costs of our future productions, and to the annual scholarships we give to Dare County students.

Nature Conservancy at Nags Head Woods

Located in Dare County, Nags Head Woods offers plenty of things to do, such as hiking, jogging, bicycling, bow hunting, and many more outdoor activities year-round. Hiking trails are open dawn to dusk every day for foot traffic only. Please register at the outdoor information counter. Horses and bicycles are not allowed on the trails but are welcome on the gravel roadway. Leashed dogs are allowed on the Roanoke Trail and Town Trail as well as on the gravel roadway; dogs are not allowed on the other trails.
